Challenge: A site network needed a generalist PI who could inspire confidence with sponsors across a wide range of therapeutic areas. It was a very specific brief, and they needed to move quickly.
Approach: We speak with investigators every week. Six months earlier we had spoken with a PI at a competitor site network and understood exactly what he wanted next, so on the briefing call we already knew he was the right person for the role.
Result: We introduced him straight away and he was hired. He brought 15+ industry sponsored PI trials across Phase II to IV in respiratory, obesity, vaccines and more, three board certifications and established relationships with sponsors.
Case study 02An oncologist to lead early phase research

Challenge: Early phase oncology trials are among the most complex studies a site can run, and oncologists with real PI experience rarely leave academic medicine for full time research. A network needed one to lead research at a major Los Angeles site.
Approach: We mapped every oncologist with trial experience across the region, academic and community, and presented 11 candidates. Six went to interview.
Result: The network hired a board certified hematologist oncologist with around 15 PI trials and 30+ more as Sub I, spanning cell therapy, bispecific antibodies and immuno oncology, with an incredible network across sponsors. Her experience opened the site to more complex hematology and cell therapy studies.

Challenge: An Illinois site had been trying to hire a cardiologist PI for eight months. Cardiologists rarely leave clinical practice for a full time research role and salary.
Approach: Through our network we reached a senior interventional and heart failure cardiologist at exactly the right moment, and helped shape an offer that matched his long term motivations.
Result: He left his clinical role to join the site full time, bringing 20 trials as PI and 20+ more as Sub I across Phase II to IV structural heart and heart failure research, including landmark device trials.

Challenge: A network was expanding its Birmingham, Alabama site. Alabama and the wider Deep South are underrepresented in clinical research, and experienced site based PIs outside the major academic centres are notoriously hard to find.
Approach: We looked beyond the state for proven site network talent: investigators who inspire confidence with sponsors and help get studies awarded.
Result: We found a board certified internist with nearly 20 years in medicine, working as a research physician at a major competitor site network, with 20+ trials as PI or Sub I across cardiometabolic, liver disease, vaccines and respiratory. He relocated to Alabama to help grow the site.
